Lemnos is a large island located between Lesvos and Thassos. Due to the large distance from Athens, Lemnos is not crowded even in high season. Its most developed tourist places are Myrina and Plati with sandy beaches. On Keros beach there is possibility for different sport activities – like windsurfing. Important sightseeings to visit during your Lemnos holidays are the Medieval Castle of Myrina, the waterfalls near the village of Káspakas the Petrified Forest near the town of Moudros, the prehistoric settlement of Poliochni which is thought to be the oldest Neolithic city in Europe and the archaeological site of Hephaestia, dated over 2000 years.
